At Uncrowned Empire, we believe users deserve to know how our sites are funded.
Our goal is to support the continued operation and growth of the Uncrowned Empire network while respecting user privacy, keeping our communities accessible, and avoiding unnecessary paywalls. We use a limited mix of advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships, voluntary supporter memberships, and platform-based social media monetization.

Sponsorships

Sovrn Commerce
We use Sovrn Commerce to automatically convert certain eligible non-affiliate links, such as links to retailers, into affiliate links. This conversion is intended for unregistered visitors only.
Logged-in members are not served our standard affiliate-link conversion system. This allows regular users to participate in the community without our affiliate system modifying eligible outbound links for them.
If a user posts their own affiliate link, our affiliate services are not intended to override or replace that existing affiliate link. Users are responsible for following the rules and terms of any affiliate programs they participate in.
Legacy Geniuslink Links
Uncrowned Empire previously used Geniuslink for some affiliate link management.
We no longer actively use Geniuslink as a current monetization service. However, some links created before 2025 may still be hard-coded through Geniuslink. If those older links are used, we may still earn a commission from qualifying purchases or actions.
Geniuslink does not process purchases directly. Purchases are handled by the destination retailer or platform.
Supporter Memberships
We may offer optional paid supporter memberships for users who want to help support the network.
These memberships are voluntary and are intended as a way to support our work, not as a paywall for core community access or essential content. Any benefits connected to supporter memberships are designed to be limited and supportive rather than required.
Social Media Income
Uncrowned Empire may earn income through official monetization tools provided by social media platforms, such as YouTube monetization.
We do not use separate third-party monetization tools on our social media pages. When monetization occurs on social platforms, it is handled through the platform’s own built-in systems and policies.
Common Questions
Can I use an ad blocker?
Yes.
We understand that some users prefer to use ad blockers, and we do not object to that. Users who want a cleaner experience on our websites can also create a free account and browse while logged in.
Can I post my own affiliate links?
Yes, in most cases.
Users may post their own affiliate links when they are relevant and allowed by our community rules. Our affiliate services are not intended to override affiliate links that users already posted.
However, users are responsible for following the terms of their own affiliate programs. Some affiliate networks may restrict where links can be posted, especially on websites the user does not own.
Do you sell my data?
No.
Uncrowned Empire does not sell user data, and we have no plans to do so.
However, when users click ads, affiliate links, sponsor links, embedded content, or other outbound links, they may leave our websites and interact with third-party services. Once a user leaves our site, that third party’s own privacy policy and terms may apply.
