  • Our Current Roadmap

The Uncrowned Empire roadmap is not a fixed schedule or a promise that everything will happen in a set order. It is a working list of the major projects we are building toward across the network.

Some items are already in progress. Others are still being shaped. As the network changes, this roadmap will change with it.

Create and Establish the Uncrowned Embassy

    Applies to: All sites

The Uncrowned Embassy will become our central system for paid contributors, partners, sponsored creators, and other outside relationships.

The goal is to make partnerships and paid arrangements more transparent, fair, and consistent across the network.

This will initially focus on paid posters and contributors, but it may expand over time as our sites grow.

    Content Ethics & Standards Overhaul

    Applies to: All sites

AI is here. It is a tool, not a replacement for humans.

We want to establish clearer rules for how staff and contributors use AI, while continuing our push to be fully transparent about how AI is used across Uncrowned Empire.

This means no “generate and post” workflows. Content should be researched, grounded, edited, and shaped by humans before it is published.

We are aiming to be a real news outlet, but we see ourselves as editors, not journalists. That distinction matters, and our standards need to reflect it.

    Platform Upgrades

Applies to: Uncrowned Empire and Uncrowned Armory

It is time to bring the rest of the network fully into Invision Community 5.

Uncrowned Gaming and Uncrowned Addiction have already been upgraded. Uncrowned Empire and Uncrowned Armory are still pending.

Once all sites are on IC5, it will be easier to standardize layouts, clean up menus, improve pages, and keep the network moving in the same direction.

    Forum Structure Adjustments

    Applies to: All sites

The forums need to better match how our sites are actually being used.

Uncrowned Addiction only needs minor adjustments.

Uncrowned Armory needs a full forum structure built out.

Uncrowned Gaming needs to break free from everything being pushed into “General Gaming.”

News and guides will remain the backbone of our content, but the forums need clearer spaces for discussion, community activity, and long-term growth.

    Achievement System Overhaul

    Applies to: All sites

Honestly, our current achievement system is boring.

We want achievements to feel more meaningful and more connected to actual community participation.

This may include seasonal badges, seasonal rewards, better engagement loops, and more ways to recognize members who are active in helpful or interesting ways.

The details are still being worked out, but achievements are officially back on the table.

Site About Us and Description Revamps

    Applies to: All sites

Our sites need clearer, more human descriptions.

That means less generic wording and more plain text that explains who we are, what each site is about, and why the network exists.

This includes About Us pages, site descriptions, social profile descriptions, footer text, and other public-facing details.

The goal is simple: visitors should quickly understand what Uncrowned Empire is and what each site brings to the network.

    Social Media Revamp

    Applies to: All sites

This will follow the About Us and description revamps.

Once each site has a clearer identity, we can update the social visuals, banners, profile assets, and reusable images to better match that direction.

News posts will mostly remain the same, but we want to improve interaction-style posts, community questions, debate prompts, event promotions, and other content that helps people engage with the network.

    Add Community Staff

    Applies to: All sites

We want a better way to recognize active members who care about our communities.

Community Staff would create a middle step between regular members and paid staff roles.

    The rough path would be:

Active Members → Community Staff → Paid Roles

This gives trusted members a way to help without immediately overloading the network with paid staff positions.

Community Staff would be unpaid, but they would help with discussion, moderation, welcoming members, organizing topics, and supporting community activity.

The goal is to reward people who love our communities while creating a healthier path into future staff roles.
